Ninth pharmacy robbery this year reported

The ninth pharmacy robbery in Spokane County since Jan. 1 was reported at the Albertsons at 37th Avenue and Grand Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. today. A white male in his late teens or early 20s demanded pain medication before running south, said Spokane Police Department Lt. Justin Lundgren. He’s described as about 5-foot-6 with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. No weapon was displayed, Lundgren said. This week police made two arrests they believe are connected to five of the previous pharmacy robberies. A 17-year-old male was also arrested earlier this month in connection to one robbery.
