John Cafferty, Jerry Mason and Nancy Stricklin have joined the Coeur d’Alene office of Hawley Troxell. Cafferty has more than 15 years of legal experience and previously served as the deputy civil prosecutor for Kootenai County. Prior to joining the firm, Mason and Stricklin were partners at Mason & Stricklin, LLP. Mason has 40 years of experience working as a local government administrator as well as legal counsel to government officials, including the Association of Idaho Cities and the board of trustees of the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program. Stricklin has served the city of Coeur d’Alene as deputy city attorney, acting city attorney, and interim city attorney. She entered private practice in 2001.

Hecla Mining Company has named Luke Russell vice president of external affairs. Previously, Russell was the senior vice president of Environment and Community at Coeur Mining.

Rick Mullins and Troy Nealey have joined Spokane Youth Sports Association. Mullins is the soccer director and Nealey is the marketing and development director. Mullins holds a United States Soccer Federation National ‘A’ coaching license, National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced National, Director of Coaching and Regional Goalkeeping diplomas, NSCAA Professional Development Certificate. Previously, Nealey served as the executive director for Sports Leadership, as a development assistant for Central Washington University athletics, and as the athletic director for Colfax High School. SYSA also has promoted Christina Harris from receptionist and office assistant to soccer coordinator.
