 David Farace and Erina Bowie have joined Secured Investment Corp.’s headquarters in Coeur d’Alene. Farace is a corporate trainer and sales manager and Bowie is a funding assistant. Previously, Farace worked with the Sears Holding Corp.’s regional sales group. Bowie has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industry.

Health care

 Thorne Research in Sandpoint has received the 2013 Investment of the Future Award from the Nutrition Business Journal for its success in the nutritional supplement industry.

Law

 Stephen Sennett has joined the Law Firm of Keller W. Allen, P.C., as an associate attorney. Sennett graduated from the Gonzaga University School of Law and practices employment law.

 John Cafferty, Jerry Mason and Nancy Stricklin have joined the Coeur d’Alene office of Hawley Troxell. Cafferty has more than 15 years of legal experience and previously served as the deputy civil prosecutor for Kootenai County. Prior to joining the firm, Mason and Stricklin were partners at Mason & Stricklin, LLP. Mason has 40 years of experience working as a local government administrator as well as legal counsel to government officials, including the Association of Idaho Cities and the board of trustees of the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program. Stricklin has served the city of Coeur d’Alene as deputy city attorney, acting city attorney, and interim city attorney. She entered private practice in 2001.

Mining

 Hecla Mining Company has named Luke Russell vice president of external affairs. Previously, Russell was the senior vice president of Environment and Community at Coeur Mining.

Nonprofit

 Rick Mullins and Troy Nealey have joined Spokane Youth Sports Association. Mullins is the soccer director and Nealey is the marketing and development director. Mullins holds a United States Soccer Federation National ‘A’ coaching license, National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced National, Director of Coaching and Regional Goalkeeping diplomas, NSCAA Professional Development Certificate. Previously, Nealey served as the executive director for Sports Leadership, as a development assistant for Central Washington University athletics, and as the athletic director for Colfax High School. SYSA also has promoted Christina Harris from receptionist and office assistant to soccer coordinator.

 Casey Groh has been awarded the 2013 Hologic Circle of Excellence award in women’s health solutions sales in the areas of gynecologic and prenatal health solutions sales. Groh is a diagnostic sales specialist with the Hologic Corp. The award was given for ranking in the top 5 percent of Hologic diagnostic sales specialists nationwide.

Transportation

 Deanna Adams has been promoted from assistant chief financial officer, a role in which she served for two years, to CFO of Trans-System Inc. and its subsidiaries System Transport, TW Transport and James J. Williams. Prior to that, she worked as a certified public accountant for 13 years.
