Top 25 highlights: Wolverines continue to roll over top-10 teams

Nik Stauskas made a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 3:12 left and finished with 19 points and freshman Derrick Walton Jr. scored a season-high 19, lifting No. 21 Michigan to an 80-75 win over No. 3 Michigan State (18-2, 7-1) on Saturday night in East Lansing, Mich., to remain the only Big Ten team without a conference loss.

The Wolverines (15-4, 7-0) are the first team since at least the 1996-97 season to win three straight against top 10 teams in the regular season, according to STATS. The Wolverines were coming off a win against No. 10 Iowa at home after beating then-No. 3 Wisconsin on the road.

(2) Syracuse 64, Miami 52: The Orange (19-0, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) held the Hurricanes (10-9, 2-5) without a basket for 7 1/2 minutes down the stretch and made eight straight free throws in the final minute to stay unbeaten with a win in Coral Gables, Fla.

(4) Villanova 94, Marquette 85 (OT): Ryan Arcidiacono had 20 points and 11 assists to guide the Wildcats (17-2, 6-1 Big East) to an overtime victory over the Golden Eagles (11-9, 3-4). Todd Mayo had 18 points including the last 10 in regulation for Marquette to help force overtime at 77-all.

(16) Iowa 81, Kansas State 75: Melvin Ejim scored 20 points and the Cyclones beat the Wildcats (14-6, 4-3 Big 12) in Ames, Iowa, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Ejim blocked a potential game-tying 3 from Shane Southwell and hit two free throws to put Iowa State (15-3, 3-3) ahead 79-73 with 23 seconds remaining.

Texas 74, (24) Baylor 60: Freshman guard Isaiah Taylor scored a career-high 27 points to help the Longhorns (16-4, 5-2 Big 12) beat the Bears (13-6, 1-5) in Waco, Texas, for their fifth consecutive win and third straight over a Top 25 team.

(18) Duke 78, Florida State 56: Rodney Hood scored 18 points to help the Blue Devils (16-4, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) beat the Seminoles (13-6, 4-3) in Durham, N.C., giving Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski his 900th victory at the school.
