Washington State wins 8 events at Jacksons Invite

Washington State track and field competitors won eight events Saturday at the Jacksons Invite in Nampa, Idaho.

Jacob Sealby won the men’s 400-meter dash in a personal-best time of 471.9 seconds. He was also part of the Cougars’ winning 1,600-meter relay team, which crossed in 3 minutes, 16.75 seconds.

The Cougars’ Jesse Jorgensen won the 800 in 1:51.87.

In the women’s 800, Washington State’s Abby Regan and Ruby Roberts finished first and second, respectively. Regan finished in 2:11.90 and Roberts crossed in 2:12.28.

The WSU women’s 1,600 relay team won in 3:49.69. Other event champions for WSU included Charlotte Muschamp (women’s triple jump), Austin Sodorff (men’s pole vault) and P.J. Benedictus (men’s triple jump).

WSU hosts the Cougar Indoor meet on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
