Computers stolen from Mead STEM school

Two computers were stolen from the Mead Riverpoint Academy early Tuesday morning and Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. An alarm sounded at the school, located in the former Roundy’s store on the Newport Highway, just before 3:30 a.m. An employee found a broken window and called 911. Deputies found a keyboard on the ground and a computer mouse hanging on the window frame, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office news release. Two iMac desktop computers were stolen. The STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) school conducted fundraisers to buy the technology needed for its classes. Anyone with information on the burglary can call the Crime Stoppers tip line at (800) 222-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
