In brief: Gregg Allman postpones show; ticket refunds are available

From Staff Reports

The Gregg Allman concert scheduled for Saturday at the Fox Theater in downtown Spokane has been postponed.

The show will be rescheduled, a news release from Square Peg Concerts said.

Allman, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Allman Brothers, also postponed appearances in Boise and Portland, according to news accounts.

No reason was given for the postponement in the release, but the Oregonian reported Tuesday that Allman “checked himself into a hospital on Monday.” Allman, who had a liver transplant in 2010, has struggled with his health in recent years.

Ticket refunds for Saturday’s show at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox are available at the point of purchase, the release said.

An Idaho judge sent a Post Falls man with seven drunken driving convictions to prison for six years.

Glenn Lange, 49, pleaded guilty last week in a DUI and resisting arrest case. Neighbors familiar with his history called police March 27 when they saw him driving under the influence, according to a news release from the Kootenai County prosecuting attorney’s office.

When Post Falls police officers pulled him over, he locked himself in his car, refusing to get out. The officers broke out a window so they could arrest him, the release said.

Lange must serve at least two years of his six-year sentence.
