Cheneys are hypocrites

Trudy Rubin’s July 2 opinion, “Cheney wrong on Iraq - again,” couldn’t be more true. Dick and Liz Cheney’s infomercial on the current crisis in Iraq is disgusting. The arrogance and hypocrisy displayed by both of them in blaming the current administration for the upheaval in Iraq would be laughable if it weren’t so sad.

Cheney, along with Paul Wolfowitz, Paul Bremer, Donald Rumsfeld and the rest of the architects of the Iraq war are clamoring for attention, and the national news agencies are just too happy to oblige them to get their take on the events resulting from a war they couldn’t wait to start. Shame on them.

At least President George W. Bush has the decency and humility to stay out of this media fiasco.
