Obituary: Maycumber, Eileen G.
Age 89
Eileen was born in 1924 in Libby, MT.
Following graduation from high school in Libby, she attended Sacred Heart Nursing School in Spokane, WA and worked as an RN.
She married Guy Maycumber and raised five children.
Eileen was a devout Catholic, dedicated mother and grandmother.
She lived and worked for years in Kalispell.
She was an ER Flight Nurse with ALERT Air Ambulance and had her wings.
Following her retirement from the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in the 1990’s, she enjoyed knitting, quilting and gardening.
She is survived by her sisters, Marie and Carol; brother Loren; three children, Frank of Spokane, WA, Sharon of Woodland Park, CO, and Marcia of Great Falls, MT; along with six grandchildren, including Dr. Vanessa Maycumber, M.D.
doing her first year residencey in Family Practice at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, five great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ray; husband Guy; sons Leonard and Steven; and a granddaughter.
A memorial mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Saint Matthew’s Church, 605 South Main Street, Kalispell, MT with a reception following.
A private burial of ashes was held at Glacier Memorial Gardens.

Eileen was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
