His life was based on the love for his family first.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet Anderson Meyers.
Their family in- cluded one son, Shane Michael; and two daughters, Adrienne Lea and Emily Anne Meyers.
His grandchildren included, Garrett, Sarah and Lindsey.
Siblings include brother, Douglas (Rose) Meyers and two sisters, Phyllis Martin (Merlin) and Diana (Greg) Mills.
He was known for his precision drawings and then his desire to build what he designed.
He built a pickup camper as a winter project, remodeled the kitchen and other areas of the house, and created toys as a new hobby.
He built a greenhouse and took special pleasure in his garden.
His yard set the example for the neighborhood.
Cal enjoyed the outdoors and went fishing both in the summer and winter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 12th at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S Schafer Rd, Spokane Valley at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Redeemer Lutheran Vacation Bible School.
