Obituary: Bushnell, Gary Randall

Age 64

BUSHNELL, Gary Randall Passed away on June 15, 2014.

Gary was born on August 17, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School in 1968.

He joined the Navy in 1970, serving aboard the USS Constellation in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.

Also in 1970 he and Sandra Lee Barrick were married.

They had two sons, Keith and Andrew.

After his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1975, Gary went to work for Great Northern Railroad, and later Rolatape, Inc. in Spokane Valley.

Gary grew up attending Pilgrim Lutheran Church, and his family have been active members at Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 40 years.

He and Andy enjoyed the Thursday morning men’s bible study at Jenny’s.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, son Keith, and father Edwin.

He is survived by his son Andrew, mother Margaret, brother Steven, grandchildren Jeena, James Matthew, Alyson and Daniel, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gary was a wonderful father, husband and son.

He was a tremendous Seahawk fan and especially enjoyed watching them win the Superbowl with his son, Andy.

He was gone too soon and we will miss him very much.

Service will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Schafer Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206, Saturday, July 19 at 10AM.
