Obituary: Stuchell, Charles E. Jr. “Chuck”

STUCHELL, Charles E. Jr. “Chuck” (Age 83) Entered into rest on June 27, 2014 in Spokane.

Born in Indiana, PA to Charles Sr. and Olive Stuchell, Chuck attended schools and graduated from Indiana High School.

He then served his country in both the US Navy and the US Air Force.

He received the rank of Sergeant as a member of the Air Police.

Following his honorable discharge from the services, Chuck went to work for the City of Spokane Police Force.

A 64 year resident of Spokane, Charles married his loving wife, Jean, in 1952.

He loved building things, and in time built several homes.

This love of construction caused him to leave the police force to work as a contractor and eventually for Spokane County as a heavy equipment operator before his retirement.

Chuck also enjoyed playing cards and riding horses.

He was a member of North Hill Masonic Lodge #210, Scottish Rite Bodies, and the El Katif Shrine, where he was very active in leadership roles with The Spokane Valley Shrine Club, Banditos, and the Horse Patrols.

Chuck was preceded in death by their son Robert in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, John E Stuchell and wife Kathie; James A. Stuchell and wife Cristi; grandsons, Austin and Kyler Stuchell.

A memorial service, (casual Western attire encouraged), will be held on July 11, 2014 at 3:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION SPOKANE, WA.

Pastor Tom Sutherland officiating, Rose Croix participating, and Military honors.
