Police say a man wearing a costume took money from the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s cash room between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The man was wearing sunglasses, a mask, a fake beard and dark clothing, according to a press release from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. The man entered an employee hallway and from there was able to access the accounting office and cash room, the release said.

Police are not releasing the amount of money stolen. A $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Detective Reneau or Sgt. McCormick at (208) 769-2320.
