A convicted felon was arrested in the 7400 block of East Third Avenue just before noon today after a three-hour standoff with police and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.
Keiley E. Herrin, 35, has been booked into the Spokane County Jail on two counts of second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Herrin is accused of firing a pistol into the ground next to two people during an argument on July 8. Police arrived at his home this morning looking for him, but Herrin refused to respond or come outside, according to a Spokane Valley Police Department press release. The SWAT team was called in and Herrin finally agreed to come out and surrender.
