Millwood council approves revised alcohol ordinance

 At Tuesday’s meeting, the Millwood City Council approved a revised ordinance amending regulations for businesses serving alcohol.

 The ordinance was presented to the council earlier this year but was sent back to the Planning Commission after West Valley School District Superintendent Gene Sementi expressed concerns.

 The amendment now requires a 14-day review period before approving permits for businesses to serve alcohol within 500 feet of churches, schools, public parks or playgrounds in the commercial zone.
