Spokane pools open longer hours

As a heat wave descends on the area, the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department has announced extended swimming pool hours this weekend and next weekend. Open swim will be extended at Comstock (600 W. 29th Ave.), Hillyard (2600 E. Columbia Ave.), Cannon (1900 W. Mission Ave.), Liberty (1300 E. Fifth Ave.) and Shadle (2005 W. Wellesley Ave.) pools today and Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. as well as on July 18-20. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for seniors and children ages 4-17.
