“MASTERS OF SEX”: They say that work and sex aren’t supposed to mix, but in Season 2 of this sizzling drama, research pioneers Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) take their mostly academic partnership out of the lab and into the bedroom. Naturally, things heat up in a hurry. Oh, boy. What’s going to happen when Libby (Caitlin FitzGerald) finds out? 10 p.m. Sunday, Showtime.

SUNDAY: “The Hunt With John Walsh” is a new series in which the victims’ rights activist exposes stories of ongoing criminal inquiries tied to fugitives. First up is the case of a Northern California man accused of killing his wife and daughters. 9 p.m., CNN.

SUNDAY: “The Strain” is the latest, and possibly scariest, creep show to hit prime time. Based on the book trilogy by director Guillermo del Toro and author Chuck Hogan, it finds New York plagued by an outbreak of vampirism that, of course, threatens all of humanity. 10 p.m., FX.

MONDAY: Word has it that “lives will be lost” in the finale of “24: Live Another Day.” As the clock ticks down, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) faces a grave decision while trying to prevent a terror plot. 9 p.m., Fox.

TUESDAY: A new installment of “Frontline” called “Separate and Unequal” looks at the effort by some in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to form a new and better school district – one that would be mostly affluent and white. 9 p.m., KSPS; 10 p.m. KCDT.

WEDNESDAY: In the new drama “The Divide,” a caseworker (Marin Ireland) tries to halt the execution of a man she believes was wrongly convicted of murdering a family. 9 p.m., WE.

THURSDAY: In “Rush,” a new medical show, Tom Ellis plays a doctor who tries to remove all traces of empathy when dealing with his patients. So, he’s a renegade who will do any job for cash up front. 9 p.m., USA.

THURSDAY: “Married” is a new comedy about being miserably in love. Nat Faxon and Judy Greer shine as a husband and wife who can barely recall what life was like before kids, debt and everyday hassles rained on their romance. 10 p.m., FX.

FRIDAY: On the latest installment of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” Guy Fieri samples funky foods from coast to coast, 10 p.m., Food Network.

SATURDAY: Andie MacDowell returns as Judge Olivia Lockhart in Season 2 of “Cedar Cove.” 8 p.m., Hallmark Channel.
