Boise rallies past Indians

BOISE – Mark Zagunis hit for the cycle and drove in four runs as the Boise Hawks overcame an early deficit to defeat the Spokane Indians 11-6 on Monday night in Northwest League action. The loss snapped the Indians’ four-game winning streak. Spokane (22-9) got off to a bright start, as Luke Tendler smashed a two-run homer off Tyler Ihrig (4-0) in the Indians’ four-run first inning. The Hawks rallied though with three in the bottom of the frame. Zach Cone also went deep for Spokane to break a five-all tie in the fourth. But Zagunis and Jason Vosler each homered as Boise (17-14) responded with six runs off Austin Pettibone (1-1), who relieved starter Nick Gardewine.
