Obituary: Baun, Clifton K.

Age 88

BAUN, Clifton K. (Age 88) Clifton K. Baun, a proud Marine and Veteran of World War II, went to join his Lord and Savior on July 3, 2014.

Clif was born in Blue Creek, WA to Thomas and Dorothy Baun on April 27, 1926.

Clif worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 40 years, retiring in 1988.

In his time he was a valued member of Beacon Chapel, Valley Fourth Memorial Church, and most currently, Star Road Baptist Church.

Clif spent many hours donating time in his community, most notably, The Union Gospel Mission, spreading Gods word.

He also spent many years serving The Hutton Settlement Children’s Home providing yard maintenance as well as house parenting.

Clif enjoyed spending time in the outdoors.

Up until his 85th year he rode his ATV weekly with his wife and friends.

Clif was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Madsen; step father, George Madsen; father, Thomas Baun; and step mother, Louis Baun.

He lovingly leaves behind his personal Angel and wife, Mary Jo Lyonnais-Baun; his daughter, Linda Carlson; son-in-law, Rick Carlson; father and mother in-law, Robert and Virgina Adsit; grandchildren, Damon and Nicole Carlson, Dustin and Carrie Carlson; and his cherished great-granddaughter, Alexis Carlson; and great-grandsons, Devan and Logan Becker; his sister, Gwen Roll; and brothers, Barry Baun, Gary Baun and Roy Madsen.

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many friends.

He leaves his most trusted and loyal companion, his Yorkie Sampson, for everyone to enjoy.

Services will be at Starr Road Baptist Church 4720 North Starr Rd, Otis Orchards, WA on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers please feel free to make donations in Clif’s name to The Union Gospel Mission, Spokane Hospice House or Hutton Settlement Children’s Home.
