War on women?
It has been suggested of late, by various media outlets, that there is a war on women. It is reasonable to infer that this is due to recent litigation and court decisions regarding contraception and the women’s health debate.
In any war, power is the determining, if not decisive, factor. As an observation, consider that in this country women decide, initially, who will live and who won’t. Neither the president nor the Pentagon or anyone else has that kind of power over existence. That is empowerment by any sense of the word. There may be a war on someone, but is it women?
In regard to contraception, I must admit that I never viewed pregnancy as an illness. Imagine my surprise.
