Improve hiring

Who on earth are the Coeur d’Alene police hiring people who cannot tell the difference between a black Lab and a pit bull? The dog lunged at him through the window? He shot through the window? The window?

I hope the owner files a lawsuit but, even more, this gun-happy officer gets fired. This is not the city’s first police-dog shooting incident. Let’s hope it’s the last.

Perhaps the psychological screenings for future police recruits should be closely examined.
