Multiple-vehicle crash closes I-90 west of Vantage

UPDATE: The Washington State Patrol is now reporting the accident involves 15 cars and nine semis, not six.

UPDATE: Westbound Interstate 90 is now open at Vantage. Eastbound remains closed at Exit 115 due to collision at milepost 127.

A 15-car, six-semi collision has closed Interstate 90’s eastbound lanes at Vantage. The westbound lanes also are closed due to poor visibility, the Washington State Patrol has reported.

The accident first was reported about 11:15 a.m. A WSP spokesman said about 11 people have been injured but the extent of those injuries is not yet known.
