Obituary: Felton, Randall

Age 62

FELTON, Randall Randall Felton was born June 5, 1951 in Spokane to Jack and Grace Felton.

He grew up in Malden, WA with his big brother Dan and baby sister Phyllis.

Randall attended high school in St. John and was a member of the State B basketball championship teams in 1968 and 1969.

After high school, Randall joined the Milwaukee Railroad where he worked until its closing in 1980.

In 1972, Randall married Cindy Tyner in a bucolic outdoor affair along the shadowy St. Joe River.

The couple had three sons, Skylar in 1973, Gabriel in 1977 and Jordan in 1983.

Randall followed his childhood friend into the cable business at North Sky Communications for the bulk of his career, relocating to West Linn, Oregon in 1982.

The same job took the family to Philadelphia in 1987, returning to Oregon in 1988.

Randy and Cindy bought their home in Maple Terrace in 1992 and in 1998 he embarked on an exciting extended stay in Bangkok, Thailand, teaching about cable telecommunications.

Randall lived in West Linn until falling ill in March.

He died April 7, 2014.

Randall is survived by his wife, Cindy; three sons; two daughters-in-law; and two grandsons.

He is also survived by his brother Dan Felton of St. Maries; and his sister, Phyllis Eveland of Colville, WA.

Randall’s cremains will be scattered this summer at his most favorite places in Idaho and Washington.

There will be a memorial service to remember Randall and celebrate his life August 2, 2014 in St. Maries along the banks of the St. Joe River.
