Obituary: Laird, Darrell Robert

Age 55

LAIRD, Darrell Robert (Age 55) Passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014 after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born October 21, 1958 in Libby, MT.

He lived the majority of his life in the Spokane area.

He graduated from Medical Lake High School.

He received his degree in Respiratory Therapy at SCC and was employed at Deaconess for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of seven years; daughter Kaitlin Harshman; sister Diane and Ron McGuire; nephew Tanner McGuire; Jason and Heather Yarbrough; stepdaughters Jill (Mike) Fetch, Christina and Emily Cowden; his canine girl Jenny.

Darrell has numerous aunts and uncles and over 100 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ellen Mae Davis, his father Robert D. Laird, grandparents and a few other family members.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.

His most special time was spent with family and friends at his “little piece of Heaven” in Athol, ID.

He loved the Zags and was an extreme Seahawk fan.

Watching the Super Bowl with his family was a precious day, as he never thought they would win a Championship in his lifetime.

Darrell will be deeply missed by many, but he will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

We will love you forever.
