Obituary: Martin, Shirley Doris
Age 67
She was a native of Kentucky and was born on October 19, 1946, to Aline Marie Frye and the late Harrison Green Martin.
Ms. Martin is survived by two daughters, Robin Kincaid of Spokane and Nichole Murphy of Maineville, Ohio; her mother, Aline Frye of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Ricky Martin of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Christian Kincaid, Nadia Kincaid, Johnny Murphy and Lincoln Murphy.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Barbara Puckett, Kathy Herdt and David Martin.
Shirley was a doting grandmother and was affectionately known as “Me-Me” by her grandkids.
She came to Spokane in 1998 to visit her first born grandchild and decided to move from Louisville to Spokane the following year.
She lived a modest, private life but was always the first to help those in need.
She stopped working four years ago and was able to enjoy a carefree retired life during that time.
A Memorial Service will be held in Louisville, Kentucky to celebrate and remember Shirley.
