Obituary: Shaw, Leaunar “Lea”

Age 84

SHAW, Leaunar “Lea” Was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on September 23, 1929 and passed on July 14, 2014 in Spokane, Washington.

She will be forever loved and missed by her sister, Veva Graef, her children Luella Miller (Gerald), Leonard Shaw (Myrna), Daryl Howe (Henry), Lucille Schultz (Brian), Ronald Shaw (Suzie) and Theresa Patterson (Danny), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandbaby and many friends.

She was a resident of St. Andrews Court for fifteen years and left behind many that were more like family than friends.

She had a great love of dancing, was a fantastic cook and had a huge heart that was the glue to our family.

She worked as a cook for the Shack Restaurant for almost twenty years and retired a few years before it closed.

In earlier years, she was a cook at Colonial Bowl and worked at the V.A.

Hospital canteen.

Her most important job was rearing her six children.

She instilled in her children, to be honest, hard working and caring.

Family always came first with Lea.

Memorial service will be at the Salvation Army chapel at E. 222 Indiana, Spokane on Monday, July 21st at 11:00 am.
