People: Justin Bieber’s new condo a hot spot for police

From Wire Reports

Beverly Hills police have a new favorite haunt: Justin Bieber’s condo.

Police officers responded six times over the weekend to the condo – twice for fan misconduct and four times because neighbors complained about noise coming from an apparent party, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. Matt Subin.

Bieber was not cited but was given verbal warnings. He is on probation for egging the home of a former neighbor in Calabasas.

Bieber recently moved to a five-story luxury building, acquiring a penthouse apartment and another apartment inside the complex that has a rooftop lounge and party area.

Under a plea deal reached with the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, the pop star pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vandalism in the Calabasas incident and was ordered to pay $80,900 in restitution.

Bieber has been ordered to serve two years of probation, to complete a 12-week anger-management program, to perform five days of community service and to stay away from his former neighbor for two years.

Bieber sold the Calabasas home to Khloe Kardashian for $7.2 million.

Hoffman’s fortune discussed in court

Court documents show Philip Seymour Hoffman rejected his accountant’s suggestion that he set aside money for his three children because he didn’t want them to be “trust fund” kids.

The New York Post said the children’s court-appointed lawyer recently interviewed the actor’s accountant, David Friedman.

In a July 18 filing in Manhattan Surrogate Court, Friedman recalled conversations with Hoffman where the topic of a trust for his children was raised. He said Hoffman wanted his estimated $35 million fortune to go to his longtime partner and the children’s mother, Mimi O’Donnell. According to the filing, Friedman said Hoffman treated O’Donnell “in the same manner as if she were a spouse.”

Shania Twain to end Vegas residency

Country superstar Shania Twain will end her residency in Las Vegas with a final show Dec. 13, two years after she made a grand Sin City entrance on horseback and began performing at Caesars Palace.

Twain announced 16 “Shania: Still the One” shows in October and December, in addition to summer performances running through Saturday at the Colosseum – the same venue that hosts fellow Canadian Celine Dion.

“I can’t thank Las Vegas enough,” Twain said in a statement.
