Obituary: Hagadone, Nancy Jane (Collier)

Age 79

HAGADONE, Nancy Jane (Collier) Nancy Jane Collier Hagadone passed away on July 16, 2014, at the North Idaho Hospice House due to complications from cancer.

She was born November 21, 1934 in Spokane, WA., to parents, Ralph and Pauline Moyer Collier.

She grew up on a farm in Cougar Gulch in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with her brother, Gary Collier, and sister, Susan Collier Edmonds.

She was an avid horseback rider and had two great horses, Tamarack and Copper, for many years.

She was a cheerleader at Coeur d’Alene High School.

She was married to Duane Hagadone from 1953 until 1969.

Together, they had sons, Brad and Todd.

She met Dr. Michael Weyer in 1973 and spent many loving years with him until his death in 2005.

They had a great time skiing, golfing, fishing, playing bridge, cooking and traveling together.

They spent their winters on the Big Island of Hawaii.

She was a member of the PEO in her younger years and later donated many years of service at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, as well as many other charities in Spokane and the Hayden Lake area.

She was a loving mother and good friend to many.

She loved to entertain and provided phenomenal food and laughter to all.

She spent her later years happily living in Tucson, AZ., in the winter and Hayden Lake, Idaho, in the summer months.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad Hagadone and Teresa Crowley, Coeur d’Alene; son, Todd Hagadone, Los Angeles; grandson, Taj and Kandis Hagadone of Post Falls; step-grandchildren, Teena Frank and Shaila Masiocek of Coeur d’Alene; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Joan Collier, Morro Bay, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Susan Collier Edmonds and Duane Edmonds, Hayden Lake; niece, Tracy Edmonds and her husband, Prentice Hale, Seattle; nephews, Duane Edmonds III, Seattle; Tim and Joanne Collier, Laramie, WY; and Tom and Keri Collier, Ventura, CA.

The family will host a gathering for friends and family at the Hayden Lake Country Club on Thursday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Per her request she wanted a fun, casual gathering of her friends and family.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests donations be made to North Idaho Hospice House in Nancy’s name.
