A pedestrian was killed in downtown Spokane Friday night as he attempted to cross I-90 near the Maple Street exit. William G. Van Gordon, 39, was driving his 2007 Dodge Ram pickup east on I-90 just before 10 p.m. when Dennis M. Stensgar, 59, attempted to walk across the freeway, according to the Washington State Patrol. Stensgar, a resident of Omak, died at the scene. Neither Van Gordon nor his passenger, 35-year-old Jaymie L. Van Gordon, were injured. The couple is from Port Angeles, Washington. Van Gordon is not facing any charges, the WSP said.
