Accounting

 Paul Bridge has been appointed chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Depository and Lending Institutions Task Force on Revenue Recognition. Bridge is an assurance partner at the Spokane office of BDO USA, LLP, where he works as a member of the leadership team of BDO’s Financial Institutions and Specialty Finance practice. He has more than 25 years of public accounting experience.

Education

 Community Colleges of Spokane has named Carolyn Casey as public information officer and Lisa Hjaltalin as chief financial officer. Casey was the director of external affairs for the Port of Bellingham. Hjaltalin was the acting chief financial officer and prior to that worked as the community colleges’ district director of fiscal services.

Engineering

 Trindera Engineering has hired Scott Jacobson as an electrical project engineer and Andy Nebrigich as a finance coordinator. Jacobson has experience in electrical power design and drafting, as well as lighting designs and control systems. He had been an electrical engineer with DEI Electrical Consultants. Nebrigich was an accountant with Global Drug Testing Labs.

Health care

 Fairwinds-Spokane, a Leisure Care Retirement Community, has promoted Amanda Malik from assistant director of health and wellness to health and wellness director. Malik previously worked as health and wellness director at The Bellettini in Bellevue and has 13 years of experience working in retirement communities.

Law

 Collette C. Leland , Kammi Mencke Smith and Elizabeth Tellessen have been recognized as 2014 Rising Stars in Washington by Super Lawyers magazine. Super Lawyers lists the top 5 percent of attorneys by state or region based on peer recognition and professional accomplishment.

 Emily Arneson, Robin Haynes, Amy Mensik and Hollie Westley have joined the firm of Witherspoon Kelley. Previously, Arneson was with Morton McGoldrick, P.S., Haynes was with Reed & Giesa, P.S., Mensik was with Davis Wright Tremaine LLP; and Westley was with Providence Health. The four attorneys have experience in litigation, employment, business and corporate law, estate planning and health care law.

Mining

 Hecla Mining Co. has named Mark Board as vice president of technology and innovation. Previously, Board was the corporate director of geotechnical engineering. Prior to joining Hecla two years ago, he worked as a mining and rock mechanics consultant at Itasca Consulting Group for 25 years. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.

Real estate

 Ellie Kuuskvere has joined Keller Williams Realty Spokane. Kuuskvere was previously a personal assistant at a local Realtor group.

Retail

 Etailz has hired Will Sloan and Cameron Barclay as purchasing analysts and Iryna Malova as a partner care support.
