Obituary: Mikel, Donna (Steed)

MIKEL, Donna (Steed) (August 13, 1918 - July 22, 2014) Was born in Farmington, UT to Reuel and Eva Steed.

She married Elwyn (Mike) Mikel in Salt Lake City, UT on February 11, 1946.

Together they owned and operated an orchard and fruit stand in Pateros, WA until 1965 when they moved to Spokane, WA where she worked in a number of service positions until retiring from the Spokane Regional Health District at the age of 68 years.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1980, and her younger sister, Betty Boures.

She is survived by her four daughters, Eva JoAnn Mikel of Lynnwood, WA; Sandra Scott Smith (Lee) of Broomfield, CO, Geraldine Mikel of Spokane, WA, and Dianne Pratt (Steven) of Kennewick, WA; nine grandchildren with families; many nieces and nephews.

Donna’s laughter and love of life will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Private family services were held.
