Obituary: Clark, Dorothy Tilda (Kempe)

Age 88

CLARK, Dorothy Tilda (Kempe) (Age 88) Dorothy was born to Fred and Tilda Kempe September 8, 1925, in Spokane, WA.

She lived on Five Mile Prairie until 1937 when they moved to Priest Lake, ID.

After high school, she moved back to Spokane working at Baxter Hospital during WWII until marrying her Army sweetheart, Eugene F. Clark, in December of 1945.

Dorothy passed away peacefully on July 26, 2014, in Spokane.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Clark.

She is survived by her children, Judy (Jerry) Dyreson, Becky (Larry) Wirtz, and K.C.

(Shelley) Clark; her sister Gladys Gerow; nine grandchildren and families; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren excel in sports.

Dorothy was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and transferred to Messiah Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church and/or Breast Cancer Foundation.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29 from 12 Noon to 8:00PM and Wednesday, July 30 from 9:00am - 12 Noon at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00PM on July 30, 2014 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4202 N. Belt in Spokane followed by interment at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
