FOWLER, Helen (Age 94) Helen Fowler passed away in Republic, WA, on July 19, 2014. Helen was born in Spirit Lake Idaho to Walter and Martha Jones and grew up in Athol where she attended school with her sisters and brothers. Helen enjoyed growing up in Northern Idaho hiking, horseback riding and having many adventures with her siblings. Helen later moved to Republic after marrying Lee Fowler, where she worked at Taggs Clothing Store for 25 years. Helen and Lee had two children, Carol Lee and Gary. The Fowler family had many memorable outings revolving around the outdoors to include hunting, fishing, and camping. Helen and Lee were married for over 71 years, a true tribute to family values. After Helen and Lee retired they were camp hosts at Swan Lake for several years where they enjoyed meeting people and camping at the lake during the summer time. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Jones and Martha Ervin; husband Lee; son Gary; brother, Casey Jones; sisters, Rose Jerome, Leanna Campbell; and son-in-law, John Magers. Helen is survived by her daughter, Carol Lee Magers of Republic; sister, Josephine Newell of Coeur D’ Alene; brothers, Maurice Ervin of Arizona, Donnie Jones of Texas; daughter-in-law, Deanna Fowler of Coeur D’ Alene; special niece, Rosa-Lee Burbank; grandchildren, Carol Lynne, David, Julie, Wade, Travis; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. For those who loved her most she will never be forgotten and will always be remembered for all she was and for all she taught us each and every day. We would like to give special thanks to Mari Jo and staff of Mari Jo’s Adult Family Home for their wonderful care of our mother and grandmother. A memorial service for Helen will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Republic on Saturday August 9, 2014 at 3 P.M. followed by a luncheon.
