Obituary: Lemay, Lucien A.

LeMAY, Lucien A.

(Age 76) April 12, 1938 - July 26, 2014 “Another star shines brightly in the sky, another angel’s wings fly by…” Born April 12, 1938 in Woonsocket, RI to Gerald and Rose LeMay, Lucien was a resident of Spokane for 57 years.

He married Carol (Sleeman) on July 18, 1958, and they just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

Lucien owned and operated three businesses and wrote a book titled “The Last Generation”.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.

Lucien was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Victor (Ramona) and Roland (Linda); and his grandson, Joshua.

He is survived by two of his siblings, his brother, Normand (Susie) and his sister, Rachel LeVasseur; his stepmother Fran; two halfsisters, Marie and Laurel; as well as his wife’s sister Bonnie Olson (Billy); numerous nieces and nephews; his wife, Carol and their four children, Robin Jackson (Jack), Teri Dashiell (Tim), Dan (Becky), and Ken (Tawnia).

He also leaves behind thirteen grand- children, Jeanette, Casey, Brittany, Nick, Matt, Marisa, Patrick, Jordan, Alexi, Makenzie, Azlynn, Shaylee, and Lyndee.

Lucien has a great-granddaughter on the way, Lucy, who is named for him.

Visitation will be on Wednesday and Thursday July 30 and 31st beginning at 9:00am to 8:00pm at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE.

Funeral service will be 2:30pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
