Pakootas the strongest

Your endorsement of Dave Wilson over Joe Pakootas in the upcoming primary election makes no sense. The differences between the two candidates clearly show why Pakootas is the logical choice to defeat Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

He is a successful businessman with a strong commitment to rebuilding our communities through education and job growth. He has a proven track record as chief executive officer of the Colville Confederated Tribe, which has thrived under his leadership. He is a champion for youth and a strong steward for the environment. He supports investments in education and job creation through sensible government spending.

But more importantly, he answers questions and provides sound solutions to repair the damage to the 5th Congressional District that has occurred under the weak leadership of McMorris Rodgers.

Endorsing the weaker of the two candidates to run against McMorris Rodgers will only ensure her re-election, which is more than likely your point.

So I encourage your readers: Don’t be fooled. If you truly want change, mark your ballots for Joe Pakootas. If you’re happy with the status quo – lack of jobs, increased unemployment and dependence on food stamps and other social programs – vote for Dave Wilson.
