The 68th annual Tony Awards: Hugh Jackman gives his regards to Broadway by returning to host the celebration of stage excellence from Radio City Music Hall in New York. The nomination list is brimming with performers familiar to TV fans, including Bryan Cranston, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyne Daly, Tony Shalhoub and Mare Winningham. The musical “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” leads all shows with 10 nominations. 8 p.m. Sunday, CBS.

SUNDAY: Break out the swimsuits and sashes: It’s time for the 2014 Miss USA competition and all the glitter, glamour and forced smiles it entails. 8 p.m., NBC.

SUNDAY: In the season finale of “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” host Neil deGrasse Tyson profiles Swiss astronomer Fritz Zwicky (1898-1974), a pioneer in the study of supernovas, neutron stars and other spacey stuff. 9 p.m., Fox.

SUNDAY: The anxiety level on “Veep” is off the charts in the Season 3 finale. That’s because Selina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and her staff are just three days away from the New Hampshire primary. 10:30 p.m., HBO.

MONDAY: Family secrets surface in the Season 3 opener of “Major Crimes,” when a father and his two sons go missing. Mary McDonnell returns as LAPD Capt. Sharon Raydor. 9 p.m., TNT.

MONDAY: “Murder in the First” is a new drama from producer Steven Bochco. It follows a pair of San Francisco homicide detectives (Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson) as they investigate two killings that appear to have links to a Silicon Valley tycoon (Tom Felton). 10 p.m., TNT.

TUESDAY: In the emotional new drama “Chasing Life,” an ambitious Boston journalist (Italia Ricci) discovers she has cancer just as her career and a new romance are blossoming. Still, she resolves to live life to the fullest. 9 p.m., ABC Family.

TUESDAY: The doctor is back in. As “Royal Pains” launches its sixth season, Hank (Mark Feuerstein) is returning to the Hamptons after traveling the world for a while. Turns out, much has happened during his absence. 9 p.m., USA.

WEDNESDAY: Dudes rule at Guys Choice 2014. It’s the offbeat awards ceremony that hands out honors in such categories as Guy of the Year (Matthew McConaughey) and Decade of Hotness (Sandra Bullock). 9 p.m., Spike TV.

THURSDAY: The 10-part documentary series “The Sixties” continues with a look back at President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and an examination into why the event remains so compelling to this day. 6 and 9 p.m., CNN.

FRIDAY: Road trip! In the Season 2 premiere of “Monumental Mysteries,” we visit Margate, N.J., home of Lucy the Elephant. No, it’s not a real creature, but a six-story building shaped like one. 6 and 9 p.m., Travel Channel.

SATURDAY: “AFI Lifetime Achievement Award: A Tribute to Jane Fonda” has Hollywood bigwigs gathering to honor the actress who has starred in more than 40 films and collected two Oscars (“Klute,” 1971; “Coming Home,” 1978). 9 p.m., TNT.
