Nick Hamer leads Spokane Shadow past Seattle Stars

TUKWILA, Wash. – Nick Hamer scored two goals and assisted on another as the Spokane Shadow defeated the Seattle Stars 4-1 on Saturday.

Hamer set up Mike Ramos in the 13th minute for the opener at Starfire Sports Complex. The goal was Ramos’ sixth this season, putting him second in the Evergreen Premier League.

Seattle pulled level in the 27th minute on an individual goal from Buba Findi.

The Shadow (4-2-1) answered 10 minutes later when Hamer struck for the first time. Sam Engle assisted on the goal as Spokane took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Hamer scored again in the 84th minute after Ramos drew a penalty. Hamer buried the spot kick and doubled the Shadow advantage. He has five goals for the season, tied for third in the EPLWA.

Pete Peterson scored the Shadow’s final goal in second-half stoppage time.
