Obituary: Englund, Barbara Jeanne “Bobbie”

Age 83

ENGLUND, Barbara Jeanne “Bobbie” Passed away June 4, 2014, at Hospice House North.

Bobbie was born October 14, 1930, in Dayton, WA to Floyd and Alta McCubbins, the youngest of six children.

She moved to Spokane after graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1948, to attend Kinman Business University.

She met her husband Roy that year.

They were married on her 19th birthday in 1949 and were married for 49 years.

They raised three children, Peggy, Larry, and Tamara and John Brown.

Bobbie was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary #02, where she held many offices and was on the drill team.

She retired from Critzer Equipment in 1995 as credit manager.

Bobbie loved the outdoors, deer hunting, camping, huckleberry picking, her cabin near Springdale, and family reunions in the Blue Mountains.

She was never without her camera.

Bobbie is survived by her children and their spouses; Peggy and John Renford, Larry and Nancy Englund, Tamara and Richard Marry; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vonda McCubbins; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her siblings, Charles, Peg, Rose, Vi, and Byron.

Graveside service will begin at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014 on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., followed by an 11:30AM memorial service in the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on the cemetery grounds.

A reception is being held at the Eagles Lodge, 6410 N. Lidgerwood, following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Spokane ,121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA 99202.
