Free truth-seekers

A June 6 letter writer suggested that The Spokesman-Review editors not publish letters from those folks who challenge the fact of global warming.

I was reminded of other facts advanced by the experts: The fact that the sun rotates around the Earth; the fact that the Earth was flat; the fact that diagnosis is possible only through the four humours of physiologic medicine; the fact that blacks and women aren’t capable of holding responsible jobs; the fact that smoking tobacco was healthful.

Our history is littered with the facts advanced by so-called experts. Only a free society, with its people seeking truth, exposes the fakes among us.
