Obituary: Sword, Margaret C.

SWORD, Margaret C. Margaret Catherine “Maggie” Sword was born October 15th, 1936 to Herschel and Mabel Baker in Memphis Tennessee.

She lost her battle with cancer on May 14th, 2014 in Spokane, Washington.

Thanks to Hospice of Spokane Maggie died with dignity and grace.

Maggie was preceded in death by husband, Eugene “Irv” Sword; father and mother, Herschel and Mabel Baker, brother Dean Baker.

She was survived by her brother, John “Jack” Baker; two sons and their wives Eric and Debbie Robinson and Kevin and Dana Robinson.

She also had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Sedro Woolley High School 1954.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Skagit Steel, Lone Star Cement, Northern State Hospital, Northwest Hardwoods, and recently Sinto Senior Center of Spokane where she made many wonderful friends.

She loved water aerobics at Whitworth College, attending local theater productions with her friend Marv, Wii bowling and croquet tournaments at the senior center and activities at Sans Souci West.

Margaret was very special to her family and friends.

We all will miss her so very much.

“Together forever, never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart” There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Maggie’s life at Sans Souci West Club House, 3231 W. Boone, Spokane WA, on June 21st, 2014 starting at 2:00 p.m., in the afternoon.
