WSU Extension celebrates 100th year with lunch, tour of research farm

Get to “Know Your Food.”

The Washington State University Lincoln-Adams County Extension is welcoming visitors to its research farm Saturday afternoon.

The “Know Your Food” lunch and field tour is part of a yearlong 100th anniversary celebration of the WSU Extension program.

During the event, WSU faculty and industry professionals will talk about agriculture’s impact on the state’s economy, pesticide use and other timely food topics. There will also be prizes and giveaways. And lunch includes WSU Ferdinand’s Ice Cream.

The cost is $12 per person or $20 per couple.

The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m at the WSU Wilke Research Farm, located just outside Davenport at 39440 State Route 2 East.
