Obituary: Bergman, Paul E.

Age 93

BERGMAN, Paul E. June 25, 1921- June 15, 2014 Paul passed away at his home on June 15, 2014.

Paul was born in Anchorage, Alaska but was a lifelong resident of Spokane.

He was a graduate from Rogers High School.

He entered the Army during World War II where he honorably served in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

When he returned from service he met the love of his life, Gazel.

Paul worked as an industrial engineer before he decided to become an accountant.

He did not consider his long list of customers as clients but rather as friends.

Paul had a great passion for sports.

He was entered in the Washington State Softball Hall of Fame.

He followed his beloved Notre Dame and Boston Red Sox with a passion.

Paul was greeted in heaven by his wife Gazel and his sons Jim and Steve.

He is survived by his son, Robert and his wife Kim, his son, Allen and his wife Patti, his son, Mark and his wife Shelley.

He was proud of his 15 grandchildren and his 11 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 20th at Hennessey-Valley Funeral Home at 1315 N. Pines from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with the Rosary from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Services will be held on Saturday June 21st at 10:00am at Mary Queen Catholic Church at 3423 E. Carlisle Ave. Spokane, WA.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
