One person’s trash is a yard saler’s treasure

We asked our Facebook friends for their best-ever yard sale finds. Here’s what they said:

Berta Culp

An ‘80s Kirby vacuum cleaner with all attachments plus shampooer for $25 in great working condition.

Brenda Hutchins

2 Monte Dolack prints for $2 that were still available for $35 each. He’s a Missoula artist.

AkersMike Anderson

Ichiro rookie bobble head in the original package and still sealed in the original plastic. $1. To purchase on eBay they go from $85 to $100.

Leah Coe

A Barbie house from the ’80s in great condition for $5. It’s much nicer than the newer models. Also, a spring horse for $8. My kid loved that thing and still had lots of play left in it when we re-homed it.

Jamie Smith

I bought 2 Barbies, still in the boxes, for $7 for a friend’s daughter. One of them turned out to be a hard one to find and worth around $1,000.

Nadine Timm

A cast iron skillet and a plastic orange colander from the same yard sale – over 30 years ago and still using daily in my kitchen.

Kristin Ivers-Dupont

Dooney purse for $1. Sold it for $45.

Nicholas J. Erb

Nintendo 64

Stephanie Graybeal

Really nice piano keyboard for $10. Clearly the owners didn’t know it was worth more than $100.

Michele Loyd Davis

I found a real McCoy vase for $3.

Renee Rindy

A .25 fake Care Bear that sold for $80 on eBay because it was so rare nobody had seen it before.

Mike Schauble

$80 set of Cutco carving knives for $5 with Lifetime Guarantee.

Windy Delandro

Coach purse for $5 sold for $200.

Chris Smead

2 mint-condition Hull bud vases for a buck. Worth about $60 a piece!

Sheila Clifford

Old movie poster signs that light up for movie theaters $25 bucks each!

Laurie McCathren

Nintendo DS with Mario Brothers in the box, all accessories … $15!!!
