Downed power pole closes Highway 95 north of Athol for several hours

A dump truck hit a power pole on Highway 95 just north of Athol around 2:30 p.m. today and the highway will be closed for repairs for several hours, according to the Idaho State Police. Southbound traffic is being diverted in Sandpoint and northbound traffic is being diverted at Williams Lane north of Athol. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area while Northern Lights Power replaces the pole.
