Obituary: Samuels, Edna Marie “Candi” Garry

Age 72

SAMUELS, Edna Marie “Candi” Garry (Age 72) Candi went home to The Creator on Thursday, June 19, 2014.

She was born December 20, 1941 to Albert Garry and Eva Covington in Nespelem, WA.

Candi lived most of her life on the Spokane Reservation in Wellpinit, WA.

She loved going to Northern Quest and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles F. Samuels Sr.; daughter, Tina Marie; son, Phillip; brothers, Al and Billy; grandson, Gary; sister, Annette; and Leonard R. Samuels.

Candi is survived by her son, Brian William Gingras, Wellpinit, WA, Brian’s children, Brandon, Kaitlin, Hunter, and Sage; and Brian’s nieces, Starr Clark Pakootas, and Dani Flett; son, Adrian Louie, Deer Park, WA; sister, Barbara Covington-Garry; brother, Danford B. Miller; special Aunt Pauline Stensgar; and numerous grandchildren and friends.

She is also survived by her family, Charles F. Samuels Jr., Linda R. Jefferson, Rick Samuels, Ronald Samuels, Todd Samuels, Desiree Samuels, Daphnee Samuels, Benjamin Samuels, Charlene Samuels, Alex L. Samuels, Clarissa Samuels, and Christine Nomee.

Candi’s family also extends a very special honor to the Pascal family.

A memorial service was held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Tribal Long House in Wellpinit, WA.
