Arched entryway: Two yellow-bellied marmots peek out of a drainage hole in a wall along West Bridge Avenue at Monroe Street in Spokane on Tuesday. Marmots live in colonies of up to 20 and spend 80 percent of their lives in their burrow. Sixty percent of that time is spent hibernating.
