Indians pound AquaSox

EVERETT – Juremi Profar’s fourth RBI of the game – all coming with two out – put the Spokane Indians ahead for good in a 10-4 Northwest League baseball victory over the Everett AquaSox on Friday night.

The victory pushed the Indians’ record to a league-leading 12-2 as they took their second victory in two nights. Everett dropped to 4-11.

Luke Tendler walked to lead off the fifth inning, stole second for his fifth steal this season, and came home on Profar’s single to center field for a 5-4 lead.

The Indians had scored three runs in the first inning on a bases-loaded walk and Profar’s two-run single. He added another run-scoring hit in the third. He has 15 RBIs this year.

Spokane scored two more runs in the sixth on Seth Spivey’s single and Tender’s sacrifice fly. Eduard Pinto and Jose Trevino doubled around Spivey’s hit.

Chuck Moorman had a two-run single and Saquan Johnson a sacrifice fly in the ninth to make it 10-4.

The Indians finished with 13 hits and also took advantage of seven walks.

Four Indians pitchers combined to strike out 11 AquaSox with Nick Dignacco (2-0), the second Spokane pitcher, getting the win.
