He was born in Spokane, WA on October 7, 1953.
Doug enjoyed all sports, especially water and snow skiing.
He loved spending summers at his family’s Twin Lakes, Idaho cabin and created lifelong memories with friends.
He achieved the rank of Boy Scout Eagle.
He graduated from Ferris High School and WSU where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
He majored in construction management and worked 30 years at Kiewit Construction Co. and at Doyon Gov.
Doug was a devoted son, husband and father.
Many of their family activities revolved around their horses.
Doug is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lori Qualls, daughters Brittany and Christi, parents Charles and Barbara Grohs of Spokane, and brothers John (Yvette) of Bend, Oregon and Charles (Stephanie) of Napa, CA.
The Celebration of his amazing life will be March 2 in Tacoma, WA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice or the Douglas Grohs Memorial Fund at any Key Bank.
He will forever be missed by all who knew him.
