She was 89 years old.
She was born in Wilbur to Chris and Kathrine Mikkelsen on January 3, 1925.
She married Nordahl Hagen on February 17, 1946.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Nordahl; her parents, Chris and Kathrine Mikkelsen; sister, Nelsine Burton; and brother, Denis Mikkelsen.
She is survived by sisters: Dorthea Grandorff and Cecelia Robertson; brother, Henrik Mikkelsen; children: Kay McGrath, Eric and Jane Hagen, Paul and Chrissy Hagen; grandchildren: Ryan McGrath, Todd and Brieanne McGrath, Katrina Hagen and John Foster, Dirk and Selena Hagen, Josh and Randi Hagen; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Mikael, Tyler and Madeline McGrath, Siena and Olivia Hagen, and Karen, Jordan and Ezeckiel Hagen; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for late spring.
