Obamacare? D’oh!

Why did we ever consider the idea of government-controlled health care? Have we completely forgotten the lessons from Communist Eastern Europe?

Everyone has a horror story about an encounter with government: Some Homer Simpson who looks across his desk and says, no matter how reasonable your request, it can’t be granted because he thinks Section 909E on page 1,896 of his directives says no.

If Obamacare is so great, why so many exemptions? Where are the $2,500 annual savings all families were promised? Doesn’t it bother you that the same people who repeatedly lied to you are now in control of your health? How many changes must Obama make to his own law before you lose confidence?

Do you really think the fines for noncompliance will stay that small? (Yeah, right!) Didn’t the botched health care website rollout get your attention? Security? What security?

In light of the Target credit card debacle, are you OK with big government handling your health care records? So, as the bureaucracy inevitably increases, will cost savings come from increased taxes or from the denial of services?

A pox on Homer! Demand a patient-centered solution, not a government one.
