Obituary: Taylor, Hubert W.
Hubert W. Taylor, loving husband for 62 years to Dorothy Taylor, who preceded him in death; wonderful father to Rick (Kathy) Taylor of Temecula, CA., Delite Koler, and Cindy Elliott (Scott) of Spokane; and grandfather to eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Hubert served honorably in World War II in the Army.
In 1946 he met Dorothy, the love of his life, and they were married September 17, 1951.
They settled in Spokane where they were surrounded by family and friends.
Hugh loved fishing, building birdhouses, horses and any and all sports.
He spent his life as a gifted blacksmith and horse breeder of thoroughbred horses.
His life revolved around the sport and the racetrack, from Longacres to Playfair, and was exceptionally gifted in his craft.
The Funeral Service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 17909 E. Broadway Ave. Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the church.
Interment will be at the WA State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA.
